Welcome!
This website is about voting
in the City of Brockton, MA

Click on the links on the left
for lots of "how-to" information.

This site will continue to leave general 2010Census information posted
during the door-to-door count by census takers until the Fall election season.

April 1st was Census Day in 2010.
Once every 10 years, the U.S. government MUST - by law -
count every person who is living anywhere in the U.S. on April 1st.
If you were born on or before April 1, 2010,
you will be counted in the 2010 census.

Anyone born after April 1, 2010 will be counted in the 2020 Census.

It's the Law
1. Everyone must be counted. If you received a census questionnaire,
you must answer the questions.
From May 1st into the fall, neighborhood "census takers" will be visiting
residents who did not mail back their questionnaires in April.
An official census taker will ask ONLY the questions on the form.
2. The census cannot give any information on any questionnaire to any agency
or department or person in the federal, state or local governments.
It is safe to talk to an official census taker who comes your home.

A complete count of everyone in the city will help Brockton:
*get needed federal funds and *keep our 9th district representative in Congress.
